"Between the Lines: Mastering Everyday Communication Skills"

Communicating effectively is one of the biggest obstacles we face in the workplace. Whether you're sending an email, working one-on-one, or participating in a meeting, communication is a constant challenge.

This workshop is specifically designed to help junior management learn the critical day-to-day communication skills necessary to succeed on the job.

In this workshop, we'll discuss how to communicate effectively through email. You'll learn the often overlooked importance of non-verbal communication skills including greetings, attire, and first impressions. We'll cover verbal communication skills to help you convey your point-of-view in a meeting or a one-on-one with your boss. You'll also understand the importance of listening skills in the workplace.

You will leave this course with tools to:

  • Make a strong, positive first impression with co-workers, clients, and vendors
  • Meet with your boss or group and express yourself with confidence
  • Communicate clearly over the phone and via voicemail
  • Listen attentively and connect with the speaker
  • Write succinct, impactful business emails, memos, and other written reports for internal and external audiences
  • Understand what's appropriate to send in an email and what is not

This seminar provides engaging activities and interactive discussions and encourages participants to establish an action plan for self-improvement in their everyday communications.
