"I always thought my resume was too wordy, but couldn't figure out how to cut it down. Hoping my inadequate resume would land me a job anyways, I applied to numerous companies for an internship my sophomore year and ended up handing out golf balls and clubs at a mini golf course. Since being the put-put girl wasn't going to land me a job in advertising, I had JobBound revamp my resume my junior year. I was amazed at how impressive my accomplishments could look on paper after an hour of help.
After sending out my new resume, I received invites for 5 interviews within days and was nominated as the University of Illinois sole candidate for the Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship Program. Competing with 80 other nominees in the country, I was selected as one of 18 students to be awarded the scholarship and was given an internship at MediaVest Worldwide in NYC for the summer! Without JobBound's advice, my cluttered resume would have never passed the "five second test" and I would have missed out on the best career-advancing opportunity of my life!"
